Nestled in the Chequamegon National Forest on the banks of Round Lake, of the famous Pike Lake Chain, the Historic Moose Jaw Resort & Campground offers guests a chance to escape into the calming peace of the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Located halfway between beautiful Minocqua & scenic Park Falls, and within minutes of some of the best hiking, biking, ATV, cross-country skiing, & snowmobiling trails in the state, with access to waters ready for fishing, swimming, boating, jet-skiing, tubing, sailing, & kayaking, there's something for everyone, at any time of year, at Moose Jaw Resort & Campground. On the grounds themselves, you can also enjoy our basketball and volleyball courts, playground, horseshoes, beach, and 18-hole miniature golf course, and of course you can also simply sit back and soak in the peace, beauty, and history of the Northwoods.
The main lodge of the Resort was erected in 1887 during the peak of the logging days of Northern Wisconsin, and the grounds still echo with memories of years past, from the old ice house nestled in the hill next to the beach to our resident ghost, Nora, who haunts the upper left room & downstairs bar of the old main lodge. Don't worry, though - Nora's quite friendly, just a bit mischievous (her favorite pastimes include opening and shutting doors, moving bar stools, and changing the TV channel). On the main level of the lodge, you'll be able to check in, and indulge in a meal or a drink or three from Woods Edge, our full service restaurant and bar.
You can enjoy the rustic beauty of the woods and grounds from the comfort of our one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom cabins (most with screened-in porches), or stay at our expansive campground, which is equipped to accommodate both RV & tent campers, and includes shower & laundry facilities. Whichever accommodation you choose, Moose Jaw and its surrounding landscape are sure to enchant.
